Show your school spirit with a Hamilton Tigers Yard Sign! Proceeds benefit the Hamilton High School STUCO. Forms are due October 7th to the high school office and pick up will be October 14th. THIS WEEK IS HOMECOMING!!! We hope to see Tiger fans out in full force for our activities! Things you should know.....
* Wednesday evening beginning @ 7pm we will start the homecoming parade at HHS. All students will have a float to ride on. Following the parade will be a free hamburger/hot dog feed downtown at the fire station. We will then have our pep rally and bonfire. We hope you will plan to attend this community event where we will celebrate 100 years of USD 390!
* Friday evening in Madison at 7pm will kick off the homecoming football game vs. Oxford. At halftime will be the crowning of the Hamilton Homecoming Queen and King along with that of Madison as well.
Each day at school students/staff will have theme days and activities to celebrate the week. Mark your calendars and plan to join us this week to celebrate HHS Homecoming!!

The Homecoming ceremony will take place in Madison on October 1st,
USD 390 has an open classified position! This person will assist with breakfast and lunch, serve as a para to a few students and assist with transportation. No CDL required. Our junior high and high school Social Science position has a new face....please welcome, Mrs. Jessica Gibson!
Mrs. Jessica Gibson is a graduate of Emporia State University. She is currently taking classes through Fort Hays State University to obtain her masters degree. Mrs. Gibson is married to Dustin, and they have five children with a baby on the way. She loves her cows, bison, and five dogs!

First up....meet Mr. Parker Gates, PreK-12 Physical Education/Health teacher!
Mr. Parker Gates comes to Hamilton from Hays, Kansas where he spent the last year as a substitute teacher at TMP. He also spent the last three years at TMP coaching girls basketball along with 2 years coaching football at Victoria High School. This year begins his career as a full time teacher in the area of K-12 Physical Education and Health. Mr. Gates has a two year old English Bulldog named Kobe that he loves to travel with!

With two full weeks almost under our belts - we are off to a GREAT start here at Hamilton Schools! It's so great to be back seeing all these smiling faces in our buildings! This year is EXTRA special as Hamilton Schools celebrates 100 YEARS!! We have some super special things planned throughout the year to CELEBRATE this centennial milestone! Check out all these smiling faces - who wouldn't love to be greeted by these each day? Happy School Year 2021-22!

Good evening Tiger family.... Our district has had a positive COVID test among our teaching staff at the secondary school. After consulting with our county health nurse our plan for the upcoming week is as follows:
* This teacher will be quarantined for at least 10 days.
*Students will proceed as normal with attendance in person for both elementary and high school students.
* We will incorporate temperature checks upon entering the building and upon loading onto the bus each morning.
* We will upgrade our distancing and cleaning practices.
* Masks will be optional as they were this past week.

COVID update: USD 390 will continue with last year's end of the school year protocol with social distancing and disinfecting often through out the day. Any student, faculty member, parent or guest that feels more comfortable wearing a mask are encouraged to do so. According to the new federal law with public transportation, masks will be worn and provided for students and adults if needed.

Here's the 2021-22 Hamilton School Calendar! Please note Enrollment is Thursday, August 5th from 9 am- 3pm in the school library. Here students will pick up the majority of their school supplies so kindly donated by Lamont Wesleyan Church! Open House will be Wednesday, August 11th from 4-6pm. There will be a parent's meeting at 5:45 in the school gymnasium. We are looking forward to a GREAT school year and can't wait to see you all!
